Recipes
Facial Scrub recipe: 1/4 medium cucumber peeled, 1 tablespoon pure natural honey, 1 tsp distilled water. 2tsp ground almond meal, 2tsp finely ground oatmeal. Combine the cucumber and honey in a blender. Blend until its a smooth mixture. Strain into small bowl. Then add the ground oatmeal and almond meal to the cumber mixure until even.
Facial Steam recipe: 1tsp Calendula leaves, 1tsp Chamomile leaves, 1tsp Rasperry leaves. Bring to boil 3 cups of distilled water, remove from heat. Add Calendula leaves, Chamomile leaves, and Resperry leaves. Let the herbs seep in the water for about 8-10 minutes. Use a small towel to create a tent over your head and shoulders - Stand over the steam and allow it to reach your face - Close your eyes and relax. Note: If you have a facial steamer, you can also use this, but you will not need as much water.
Facial Mask recipe: The most popular masks used in high end spa's are usually made with muds. If you have access to muds, simply apply the mud paste to your face. Otherwise, here is a recipe that most people will be able to easily make.
** Cucumber Mask: Puree 1/2 medium cucumber (peeled), add 1 tablespoon plain yogurt. Mix well. Apply mixture to face, Let stand for 15-20 minutes. Gently wipe face with a clean damp cloth.
** Oatmeal Mask: Mix 1tablespoon distilled water with enough oatmeal so that the mixture is of a pasty texture. Apply this paste to your face, let dry, then wipe off with a clean damp cloth.
** Strawberries & Honey: Crush several strawberries and add 1 tsp honey. Mix well. Apply mixture to clean face and let stand for about 10-15 minutes. Gently wipe off with a clean damp cloth.
Skin Moisturizer recipe: 6 drops lemon essential oil, 6 drops orange essential oil, 5 tsp vegetable glycerine, 1 cup distilled water. Place all ingredients in a "spritzer" type container. Shake well. Spritz on your skin and face when the need arises. Alternative: If Lavender is more to your liking, add 12 drops of lavender instead of the lemon and orange essential oils.
